In Turbulent Times

Turbulence is an inevitable characteristic not just of modern life but existence itself. What if, instead of screaming and running around like headless chickens at the slightest of turbulence we were able to instead contemplate what the moment of change heralds? To contemplate both the losses and the gains. And perhaps, most important of all, to contemplate things as they are instead how we dreamwish they could be.

Last autumn, I had the delight of meeting Richard Rudd in London, founder of the Gene Keys method that promotes self-work through the Art of Contemplation.

Among the many gorgeous tools for supporting contemplation is the Triple Flame app which has brought unimaginable fun and delight to my daily practice of meditation. Not to mention a certain steadiness that has enabled me to better pilot my own plane, little by little, even in the most turbulent times in any given day.

How do you like to fly?

A Beautiful Day

Willen Lake, a playspace of beauty

It’s a beautiful day today where I live.

As I walk around the lake this morning, I’m in awe of the city I have been fortunate enough to settle in with my family – a place of beauty, hope and peace.

One of the places I love to wander and wonder is Willen Lake run by The Parks Trust, a charity dedicated to protecting the parklands and landscapes of Milton Keynes forever.

My path to this place hasn’t been simple or easy. For the longest time, I wasn’t aware this was the place my heart longing for – until I began to occupy myself fully.

What does home mean to you? Where does your heart live?
