TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Confidentiality: By participating, you agree to treat information presented by group members as confidential and not to disclose it to third parties.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your registration more than 60 days before the course, you will receive a 100% refund, less a £50 processing fee. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 60 days before the start date of the event. In all cases, we will try to find a replacement. If successful, we may provide a goodwill refund at our sole discretion. In all cases, you may cancel your registration within 14 days of purchase for a full refund subject to the terms above.

If you need to transfer your registration, you will need to inform The School of Play by email at least 20 days in advance to the start date of the course.

In the case where The School of Play cancels an event, you will receive a full refund for the price of your booking only, or the option of being transferred to future booking or a credit to your account with The School of Play.

Changes to the Venue: The School of Play reserves the right to change the venue if it is deemed more suitable for an event or due to unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, we will do our best to ensure an optimal learning experience.

Participate at Your Own Risk: The School of Play, the organisers and providers offer experiential process work, teaching, mentoring, and coaching related to personal and professional development. These Services do not constitute medical or psychotherapeutic treatment. They are not intended to prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or mental health condition or to replace a medical or a psychotherapeutic therapy. You agree to receive these services at your own risk. 

By attending, you expressly agree to hold The School of Play, the organisers, and providers for this event harmless from all liability or any claim for any shortcomings, adverse effects, injuries, damages, or harm of any kind that may arise out of your participation.

FAQs – Frequently Asked Question

We recommend booking your accommodation soon after you receive a confirmation email for your place on a Playful Leadership course. This way, you can relish in looking forward to your upcoming play adventure!

If possible, we suggest staying on site at Ashridge House as this may making attending the optional Night School of Play more comfortable and convenient (likely from 19.30-21.30 BST) .

Option 1: On site at Ashridge House: Bed & Breakfast (£162 per night + VAT). Once you have registered for a course and you are interested in this option, contact Portia and she will provide you with a link for booking your accommodation at Ashridge House. Staying at Ashridge gives you the opportunity to soak in more of the magic in their lovely indoor swimming pool and access to their compact yet comprehensive gym facilities.

Option 2: The King’s Arms Hotel 4*: 147 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 3HL, United Kingdom (around £123 per night room only). You can book directly with the hotel or consider booking through www.booking.com for a good price.

Option 3: The Penny Farthing Hotel 3*: 296 – 298 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 1AH, United Kingdom (around £103 per night room only) – breakfast can be booked separately at £13 per person per day at The King’s Arms). You can book directly with the hotel or onsider booking through www.booking.com for a good price.

Transportation to and from Ashridge House to Berkhamsted

Car Pool: Students of The School of Play are a warm and friendly bunch, so if you are joining us by public transport, those of us who are driving can usually offer you a lift down to Berkhamsted for dinner after class each day.

Q: What if I want to travel by taxi?

A: We recommend MK Royal Travel. Contact Arman through their website and he will gladly assist in getting you to and from the venue.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: Come as yourself! Come dressed comfortably so you can think at your best and have fun.

Q: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A: No need to bring along your ticket.

Q: Can I pay by invoice?

A: Of course! Contact Portia directly and she can issue you an invoice instead of payment via TicketTailor.

Q: What if I don’t pay VAT?

A: For full price tickets only, contact Portia directly and she can send you an invoice minus VAT (20% on the published FULL price of the ticket).

Q: Are scholarships available?

A: For those who’d like to come but are unable to pay the full price ticket, contact Portia for more details of pay by instalments. We do our best at The School of Play to support those who wish to grow as leaders and work in service of greater good.
