The Lila Circle is a sacred leadership space for women – beyond our usual places of work and home. It is a place created by women for women. A place where you are invited to bring your hopes, dreams and wishes as well as your worries, challenges and fears.
The Lila Circle is a place where you will be warmly welcomed and received – exactly as you are. We will transmute, recombobulate and celebrate together, weaving and reconnecting that which has become disconnected as well as freeing you from your blocks by untwining your entanglements and transmuting them into resources through Play Alchemy.
All in service of one another’s personal and professional growth. And for greater good, of course.
When and where does The Lila Circle gather?
Given many of you have expressed a wish to be part of such a sacred circle, The Lila Circle gathers on a range of days and times in support of our Lilas globally.
We set out 8 places for a Lila Circle so that we can co-create an intimate place of deep magic through ease, warmth and laughter – three of the key ingredients for True Transformation.

Why do we need The Lila Programme?
The Lila Circle is crafted and facilitated by Portia Tung, Play Alchemist and Executive Leadership Coach from 25+ years of honing her skills, knowledge and experience in individual and organisational transformations.
“As I travelled further and deeper into my own development as a female professional, mother, wife, sister, daughter and human being, I found myself longing for a warm, safe and resourcing space to explore my lifelong wonderings in order to move forward with integrity and lead as my highest self when playing The Game of Life,” says Portia.
“My heart longed to be surrounded by likehearted women who share my wish to harness our full individual and collective potential through personal and professional transformation. So I manifested The Lila Circle.”
What does ‘Lila’ mean?
Lila (Sanskrit: लीला līlā) or leela (/ˈliːlə/) can be imaginatively translated as “divine play”. Since the divine by definition is perfection itself, Lila represents creation out of freedom instead of creation with an objective to be achieved.
In this sense, Divine Play – what Portia calls True Play – is the outcome of the playful nature of the Divine. It is how the Universe manifests. Becoming a true leader begins with discovering and becoming ourselves. True leadership happens when we commit to our inner work.
What happens during The Lila Circle?
A gathering typically includes:
- a grounding check-in as we land in order to better explore and take off
- some teaching and an exercise on the core principles of optimal systemic health and performance
- followed by a group constellation – a somatic, extra-ordinary way for nurturing insights and cultivating our intuition – with one or two participants take turns standing as the Explorer while the rest of the group stand as Companions in support of the Explorer’s inquiry
- and ending with each woman being invited to share their needs met and gifts received.
